As a dynamic and highly innovative public-sector university in Pakistan, CUI has made major strides in the past few years in achieving its cherished mission of imparting quality education in diverse disciplines to students at an affordable price. Our Department of Management Science now offers business programs with various specialization areas at both the bachelors and masters levels. We have trained thousands of students who have gone on to make careers inside and outside Pakistan.

Our pioneering academic programmes cover key business and management disciplines such as human resource management, marketing, accounting, finance, banking, business economics, energy management, project management and information management.

We are one of the few Departments of Management Science in Pakistan which are presently in the position to offer MS programs leading to the award of a doctoral degree. Our business curricula are comparable in standard to those which are being applied in reputable Pakistani and foreign universities. Our objective is not only to familiarize our students with current knowledge in their subject areas but also to equip them with the good analytical, creative and communication skills needed in order to manage the complex challenges and pressures they will encounter in their professional lives as managers and administrators. By emphasizing a holistic, practical and ethical approach to learning, and by encouraging an informal, open, creative and student-friendly learning environment, we believe that our students will be well prepared for meeting the demands placed on them by their future employers, the economy and society at large.

Our Department’s strength rests on the quality of our faculty. We are proud of the fact that all our presently approximately 60 faculty members are in possession of advanced business degrees and several hold doctoral degrees from reputable foreign universities. All our faculty members have professional experience working in private or public organizations and some are acknowledged researchers with several publications to their name. Several of them have presented papers at international events hosted outside Pakistan.

The Department of Management Sciences strives to contribute to the broader social role of the CUI in providing high quality academic programs characterized by cutting edge technologies and modern managerial practices. It was first established at CUI Wah in 2001. Later peer-departments at Lahore, Islamabad, Abbottabad, Attock & Sahiwal were established in 2002, 2003, 2004 & 2007, respectively.

The Department of Management Sciences at CUI has emerged as the most dynamic and vibrant department. Its current enrollment is among the highest in CUI. The Department of Management Science solely is committed with the objective to keep the knowledge of students at par with the market trends. To trace it’s origin, Department of Management Sciences was established in 2001 at Islamabad. At present, the Department of Management Sciences has around 4000 students enrolled in all six campuses and they are over 213 full time Faculty members. All the six campuses offer programs as approved by Department of Management Sciences

Our mission is ”We aspire to become a reputable department with high qualified faculty and facilities by providing excellence through business education and research in emerging fields.

The future goals of the department are to train and develop professionals in many new fields. The Department of Management Sciences emphasizes on uniqueness and creativity in its programs. Therefore we are always on the lookout for the latest academic and professional programs which are being sought out by the business students and professionals.
